Stefan's first public appearance was BBC's Songs of Praise Libera Special in January 2009. The episode was filmed throughout 2008. At his first tour to Japan and the United States in April 2009, Stefan made an impression to the audiences with his soaring high notes in Salve Me. He quickly became Libera's most beloved soloists and performed with the group till the end of 2012.
Outside of Libera, he played an opera The Turn Of The Screw (2011) in Austria where he played Miles. In 2012, he was in another opera The Cunning Little Vixen with Orlando Woscholski. Stefan played one of The Forester's sons.
